Join the Vista Historical Society & Museum as a volunteer and assist visitors in their explorations of the museum’s collections! Help visitors relate to the interesting and fascinating history of Vista as they see the artifacts from World War I, or delight in the contemporary costumes of the early 1900s. Share in the adventures of very young visitors as they learn about the indigenous life in Vista.
Qualifications for volunteering includes being enthusiastic for museum work and being able to make a commitment of at least one two-and-a-half hour shift a month. We count on volunteers to do clerical work, maintenance, field trip assistance and greeting guests.
When can you volunteer? From Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., volunteers have the option of doing a two-and-a-half or a five hour shift, per day.
Volunteers don’t have to be long time residents. Once a year, we do continuing education in Vista’s history. This is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to better get acquainted with this city. The Vista Historical Museum welcomes people of all ages to share their talents and abilities to further develop and improve the museum.
